Lee Ackert: loves working in watercolors because of the many effects that can be achieved by the mixing of colors on the paper and the ability to glaze one color over another for translucent effects. She is inspired to paint anything that catches her eye and her work covers a wide range of subjects. Regardless of the subject, whether florals, landscapes, or abstracts, her paintings are influenced by her love of nature. All of Lee's paintings have one thing in common, lots of color. Colors are played one against the other using complements or analogous colors to create the desired effect. Lee currently teaches at the FT. Myers Beach Art Association. She has had several one person shows and has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors for her beautiful watercolors.Lee's Paintings

Phil Krym: Born in Canada, but raised in Miami, Phil's first introduction to the many facets of wood came from his father Walter who was an "old world" master craftsman. Since then he has worked extensively with wood from waterskis to house building. He started directing his attention to the art of turning in 2000. The simple elegance of his designs are intended to allow the viewer to relish the natural beauty of the wood itself. Each piece is meticulously shaped, sanded and finishes are applied to enhance the artistic beauty of the wood, most of which are tropical woods found in South Florida. His work is earning him a growing number of awards for his fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. Phil's handcrafted wood pieces can be found in many collections in the United States, Canada and Europe.Phil's Wood Turning.
